AKS (Addicted Kru Sound) has its origins in the Drum and Bass scene. As a DJ act they quickly see the back of each Belgian DJ booth and to crown their work they get the chance to tour in the United States. When they come back they decide it's time for the next step. They go - well before the mainstream hype - experimenting with dubstep, a genre that is emerging late 2008 in the Belgian music scene. Soon they get noticed internationally and asked to do remixes for Steed Lord, Sound of Stereo, Jamie Lidell and .... Wu-Tang Clan! As ‘Artist in Residence’ at ‘Het Depot (Leuven, BE) they develop their live show, work with artists like Selah Sue and Lola and play festivals such as Dour, Pukkelpop and Laundry Day during the summer of 2010. Needless to say that AKS has a very impressive live reputation, but AKS is more than tight basslines and energy: They recently proved that with their first release on the Belgian Forma.T records: "Give it back" combines spicy beats and a touch of soul.
